Launch of ViE and ViTAL SIG - 8th September 2010


The launch of the joint Video in Education and Video in Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group took place at the ALT-C conference in Nottingham on the above date. If you could not attend the launch you can view a recording of the presentation by selecting ViTAL presentation

Please feel free to sign up and contribute in what ever way you can - Big or small - all comments are most welcome.

ViE SIG would like to hold a virtual event, using Adobe Connect software, hosted at Lancaster University. Dates of the initial event is to be confirmed, but I am looking at holding it in the first week of July. Details to follow on the wiki and via the ALT mailing lists.

When you click on the link, sign in as 'guest' and wait to be accepted into the room. Use the 'Chat' panel to ask questions during the presentations, then we can pass the microphone around for Q, A and Collaboration.

There will be a short presentation opening the proceedings about the mission of the SIG, followed by a case study from Lancaster, and how we are dealing with the issues here.
